Restorative dental care is any treatment that replaces lost tooth structure. This would include the various types of restorations such as fillings, crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers. The types of materials used for these procedures are amalgam, composite, gold, porcelain, and glass ionomer. In our office we have generally phased out amalgam and gold.
After determining that a tooth or teeth needs to be restored we use the x-ray image and an intra-oral photograph to explain the restorative process.
Dr. Etheredge is a restorative dentist and, as such, it's his goal to provide a quality restoration in every tooth he treats. This comes from a commitment to being meticulous, diligent, and giving the attention to detail that this precision-oriented field requires of every dentist.
