Meet The Staff
Office Manager - FRONT DESK
Since 1995, I’ve made sure our office runs smoothly by answering phones, greeting patients, dealing with insurance claims, scheduling appointments, and handling all business-related management. I love being a part of a great office; we’re like a family. I enjoy coming to work every day where I get to meet and visit with some very amazing people: our patients. I’ve been very blessed to work for a person who has a fabulous attitude about life that spills into everything he does. Dr. Phil is always ready with a smile and a laugh, and puts even the most anxious patient at ease.
I am married to a wonderful man named Tim, and we have three children and four grandchildren. We enjoy our family time, have a passion for boating, and really get into cheering for the Seahawks!
Scheduling Coordinator - FRONT DESK
My favorite part of the job has been interacting with our terrific patients, stating in 2002! Whether I’m welcoming them into the office, scheduling their appointments, or going over their insurance benefits, I’m here to help make their appointment a good experience. I truly enjoy getting to know who they are, their interests, hobbies, families, and seeing photos of their vacations, new babies, grandchild, or pets; it is the highlight of my day! We are truly a team here. We work well together, care about and look out for each other. Dr. Phil is a great dentist and a wonderful person who cares deeply about providing excellent dental care and has a genuine interest in his patients and his staff. It doesn’t get better than that!
At home, I enjoy spending time with my husband, four children, grandchildren, and friends. I have been in a local garden club since 1984 and like volunteering at our church.
In 2004 I began a career in the dental field and worked as a dental assistant for 8 years. At the end of those 8 years I had completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Washington. I started working in Dr. Phil's office in the summer of 2007 as a part-time dental assistant, becoming a full-time employee in 2009 to 2011.
I returned to school in 2011 at the Seattle Central Community College where I received degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduation I have felt blessed to come back and be employed as a dental hygienist in this office, which I refer to as my "dental family". I love the unity of the office and how everyone is very passionate in striving together to provide the best care for our patients.
My goal is to provide personalized care for our patients doing so with gentleness and kindness. I wish for all of our patients to have a basic understanding of their periodontal health and how to help them achieve optimal dental health in this area. I also feel passionate about teaching our patients the link between oral-dental health and systemic or overall body health.
My outside interests include exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my family and friends. I love being with my dog, an American Eskimo Pomeranian named Luna. I love to go on spontaneous road trips and I also love running, yoga, a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the sunrise.
I have been providng gentle hygiene care in order to improve and maintain our patients’ smiles since 2001. Overall, my favorite part of being a hygienist is the ability to help patients achieve better health by directing and educating them on the importance of oral health, and in turn, seeing a positive change. Our staff works so well together as a dental team that we act more as a family unit. We all put in 100% effort and we are always willing to help one another at any time. Dr. Phil genuinely cares for our patients and his staff. From the moment you walk into our office, you’ll notice the difference!
I am blessed with a wonderful husband and three kids. I enjoy swimming, biking, running, and hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
I graduated in 1998 from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene, Summa Cum Laude. Shortly thereafter, I met Phil and we started working together in 1999. What I enjoy most about working with Phil is his kind, gentle, and lighthearted personality. I share in his passion to provide the best possible care for our patients while getting to know them individually.
There are many things I enjoy about being a dental hygienist but a few things in particular stand out. Building long term relationships with our patients, helping them optimize their oral health and continuing to learn about healthcare in general. I genuinely care about our patients and seek to make each person feel comfortable and cared for in our office.
I was lucky enough to accompany Phil on a dental mission to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2000 where we traveled to remote mountain villages providing dental services and education to families and communities that would not otherwise have access to dental care. To date, this has remained a highlight in my career.
My husband Lance and I have been married 17 years and since having our two amazing daughters I’ve continued to enjoy working on a part time basis. Aside from being a mom and all that entails, I love running and hiking in the outdoors, taking ballet/contemporary dance, and volunteering at church and our kids' schools.
With more than 20 years of experience in dentistry, starting at this office in 1996, I’ve had the chance to change a lot of people’s view of dentistry. It’s not easy helping people realize that the dental office is not the worst place to be, but the end results can bring so much confidence and pride to people, that it makes it all worth it! I love working here because we are like a family. Everyone is genuine, caring, fun, and it’s a great atmosphere in which to work. Dr. Etheredge has done many dental missions to developing countries and I have been fortunate to travel with him on one mission trip to Honduras. It was an amazing experience!
I live in Mill Creek with my husband Dave, two boys, Brock and Trent, and a dog named Lacee. My free time is spent running my two boys to all their sports activities, which is almost a full-time job! When I do have some spare time, I bowl in two leagues.
I graduated from Western Washington University with my degree in social work but have been a part of Dr. Phil’s team since 1999. I love working with children and educating them about oral home care. I feel like I am helping patients on a daily basis and it is very rewarding when a patient has a good outcome. Our team has become like a second family to me. Dr. Phil respects his staff and encourages us to be the best. I’ve even gone on five dental missions to Central America with him!
I live in Redmond with my husband Eric, and two wonderful kids, Ethan and Kalena. I spend a lot of time volunteering at my kids’ school and walking my black lab, Henry. I feel blessed to have a well-balanced life of working two days a week doing what I love and still spending time with my family.
After graduating from Lake Washington Institute of Technology as a dental assistant I came to Dr. Phil's office to complete my internship in 2016. I was lucky enough to be welcomed into the staff as an assistant. What an incredible team to be a part of. I truly look forward to coming to work each and every day. I'm grateful for the amazing group of patients that I have met and look forward to being with them over the course of their care with us.
In my free time I keep myself very busy with my three wonderful kids and their busy lives. My two daughters are very involved with cheerleading and I volunteer a lot of my time as well with their cheerleading organization. Watching my son in little league baseball is another one of my happy places!
I also love running, going to the gym, skiing, and have especially loved going to music concerts.
I have been a patient at Dr. Phil's my whole life. I was three years old at my first visit! My whole family calls this office home as well and has my entire life. All my childhood visits to this office were positive and I believe this is where my interest in becoming a dental assistant grew from. I attended dental assisting school after high school and then completed over 100 hours in an internship program at Dr. Phil's office. My passion for being in health care and dentistry continues to grow. I love the fact that our office emphasizes continuing education so much. It has been great fun and exciting to attend the annual Washington State Dental convention, go to Continuing Dental Education classes with the staff, and partake in all of the Lunch and Learn sessions at our office. My particular interests within the office has been developing my skills for Invisalign Orthodontic treatment, Implant dentistry, and treatment in cosmetic dentistry.
I've really enjoyed getting to know the patients in our practice and seeing what "Family" practice means to Dr. Phil and his staff. They really genuinely love their patients and see them as family to them. And I feel like I am now part of the family that our office staff is to one another as well.
On a personal side, I love to be with my family, dog, and cat....and not necessarily in that order! I am continuing my education to get my college degree and may look at becoming a hygienist in the future.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance. In addition to the music classes, I also took pre-dental science courses with the goal of applying to dental school, which I am pursuing now.
Upon graduating, I knew I wanted to work in dentistry and experience “a day in the life” of a dental professional. I came to join Phil’s office after my best friend, who has been a patient of Dr. Phil’s since childhood, happened to mention me in one of her appointments. After hearing about my desire to pursue dentistry as a career, Dr. Phil found a role for me as a dental assistant in his office in 2018.
During my first week of work, I could easily tell Dr. Phil and his team were amazingly friendly, positive, and compassionate people. I love how Dr. Phil’s practice is centralized around his patients; every patient that walks in is like family. It doesn’t take long to learn that Phil and his team genuinely care about creating personal connections with every patient and want everyone to have the most positive experience possible.
I am grateful that Dr. Phil is so driven and willing to share his knowledge and experiences with me to help me grow as a dental professional. I couldn’t have asked for a more inspirational mentor to have on my dental journey and I hope to one-day follow in his footsteps.
On the weekends, you’ll either find me studying at a local café in Redmond or sweating at a cycling studio. I also love playing chamber music with my friends and taking camping and road trips with my family exploring the PNW.
